At MDDTC, we welcome all breeds, mixed or purebred, and all ages, puppy through seniors. We emphasize a positive, fun environment where our approach to training dogs consists of 3 elements: 1.) Teach 2.) Practice 3.) Correct in a gentle, respectful way. We stress the 3 C's: Consistency; Communication and Compassion to self and to the dog. During our classes, we use reward-based training methods as our experience has shown us that use of such methods is the best way to teach behaviors to our dogs. Our goal is to teach owners how to teach their dogs to be happy, healthy members of the family. In our competition classes, we prepare handlers and their dogs to enter the show ring if they choose.
